How’s it goin eh?
I have to say as a gamer one of the things I have always enjoyed most about gaming is being able to immerse myself into another place and live the adventure of whatever character I’m supposed to be portraying.
One of the best series of games in which I have had this experience has to be the Batman Arkham Series, developed by Rocksteady Studios Ltd. (http://rocksteadyltd.com/).
Rocksteady has released two adventures to date starring the Dark Knight.
I. Arkham Asylum: http://rocksteadyltd.com/#arkham-asylum
II. Arkham City: http://rocksteadyltd.com/#arkham-city
Both of these games are fantastic in my opinion and I recommend them to all gamers. You will feel like THE BATMAN especially when you are gliding and grappling along Gotham in all its glory and kicking a variety of classic bat villains asses the whole way!
The graphics and game play are incredible, the story lines are creative and exciting. As Batman you can glide, grapple, use a bevy of Batman’s different gadgets, fight up to 20+ guys at a time using a mixture of vicious combo attacks and take downs.
You can see and feel the improvements that were made between Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. The reason I mention this is because I truly take my hat off to Rocksteady and thank them for making a continually better gaming experience. I for one appreciate a gaming company who strives to improve on their product by listening to the fans and not those gaming companies that promise a new or better experience but just take our money and regurgitate the same old garbage (I wont mention any names, you gamers know what I’m talking about!).
Arkham City also allows you to play as Catwoman and one of the coolest things about Arkham City for me is being able to choose which batman skin to wear. My personal favorite is Frank Millers Dark Knight but there are many skins for Robin and Catwoman too. Additional challenges, sub-missions, and an adventure featuring Harley Quinn are also part of Arkham City. Like I said before Rocksteady really raised the bar between Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.
But let’s get back to the topic at hand and the reason for all this babbling! In June 2015 Rocksteady Studios Ltd will release the last chapter in its Arkham based series: Batman Arkham Knight. This is a game I have really been looking forward to playing .
Check out the trailer here:
Looks awesome eh?
If the trailer is any sign of what to expect, this game will truly be a strong finish to what has been for me one of the greatest series of games in the last decade. The truth is all it took for me to get on board is knowing I get to drive the Batmobile!(Yeah like I’m the only one)
If you haven’t all ready checked out Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, the good news is you have plenty of time to do so before Arkham Knight hits in 2015 eh.
Enjoy and let me know what you think.
To my fellow gamers (especially you newbs) hiding in the safety of your so-called first person shooter known as COD.
One of my first posts on this blog was a poll asking the simple question. Which is better Call Of Duty or Battlefield 4?
This post led to a brief conversation with my new friend and fellow blogger Ace Wicked Gamer. He followed up our conversation with this post:
Much like Ace, I was a die-hard Call Of Duty fan but like many of my buddies I grew sick of the endless hacking and other issues that always went hand in hand with a typical round of COD.
I can personally say that I sent many emails to Activision about the issues that were ticking me off with the game. No responses were ever received! Instead they just tried to bribe us with flashy new camos and other crap (which ya had to pay for). I will say that trying to bribe me with a bacon camo was pretty clever eh, but not clever enough.
I stopped playing Call Of Duty after Black Ops II (I didn’t even finish the campaign) and started finally playing Battlefield 4 after my buddy XLUNATIC sold me on it. It only took an hour or so of getting used to the game play before I was hooked.
The Maps in Battlefield are huge, the graphics are awesome, you can drive/pilot the various tanks, military vehicles, jets, helicopters, boats, etc.
Sniping in this game is so superior to COD and the wide variety of firearms, knives, explosives etc.,etc, far outstrip the makings of any class building I have ever seen in COD.
LOL I have to agree with Ace that the lone wolf approach that worked so well in Call Of Duty doesn’t apply to Battlefield 4. I recommend finding a good squad.
Now clearly this has been a one-sided argument highly in favor of Battlefield 4 and I know that many of you just love your COD!!
So what do you think gamers? Let me know.
(Be sure to check out my buddy Ace’s work at his blog: https://ac3wickedgamer.wordpress.com ) Do it eh? Show him some love!!
Hows it goin eh? And welcome!
So I’m going to kick off the gaming section of this so-called blog with a simple poll. Which is better, Call Of Duty Ghosts or Battlefield 4?
Personally, I was a die-hard Call Of Duty player and played with fantastic clans. Oh yeah! DDDS,Delta,DDZN,Dirty Dozen REPRESENT!
But I have to say that after Black-Ops, Call Of Duty went downhill for various reasons the main reason for me being hacking. (Useless Cheaters GRRRR) I stopped playing Call Of Duty shortly after Black-Ops 2. Actually I traded my copy in based on several recommendations from my gaming buddies for a copy of Battlefield 4 and have not been disappointed!
But I know that many of my friends are still having fun with Call Of Duty Ghosts. So let’s get some answers here. CHOOSE YOUR SIDE!
